William Ream known as Uncle Billy died at his northwest Denver area home after a long illness. A pioneer in the Weasaw neighborhood he was beloved by locals. Funeral services were held Sunday at Mt Zion church with burial in Mt Zion cemetery.
William Ream born November 6, 1838 in Schuylkill Haven Pennsylvania. He married Mary Catharine Seibert May 10, 1868 and had eleven children. He joined Mt Zion Reformed Church March 2, 1880 and endured months of illness with patience. He leaves three brothers and one sister Henry Ream Neb George Ream Columbus Jacob Ream Elwood Amanda Waltz Marshall Co. He died after saying his children and neighbors were kind and that rest would come. We glimpse sorrow yet hope to meet in Heaven.
We thank neighbors and friends for kindness and help during the illness and passing of our husband and father. Mrs. Mary Ream and Children.

The Seventh Annual Friend and Cress reunion gathered June 18, 1911, in M. J. Whitmore’s grove along Eel River with 159 relatives present. Highlights included speeches, a large noon dinner, and plans for next year’s meeting on the 8th Sunday in June 1912 to mark Grandfather Friend’s 100th anniversary. Attendees from Ohio and Indiana and a long roster of distant kin were noted.
Friday, Lewis Gustin returned with a four passenger Fup automobile bought in Peru. Rev. A T Rank drove it out for him and teaches operation. The twenty horsepower car pleases Gustin who has long sought an auto. He has secured the Hupmobile agency and invites inquiries for quality cars.
McCaffrey & Co at Cor 5th and Court St advertise groceries smoked meats fruits and vegetables with temporary quarters. They note a spring wool purchase by John Dawalt of over 10 000 lb, slightly up from last season, and mention low prices at Mason & Schram Fruit Jurs. A Brethren Social had poor finance due to weather, while binder twine is sold at 67 cents per pound. A found letter from Denver Ind 1911 urges wallpaper purchase from Brown Drug Store.
