Elizabeth Fisher born April 38 1841 died May 21 1912 aged 71 1 18 was daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Harter. She married David A Fisher October 14 1866 and lived on farms near Mexico Denver Peru before passing near Denver. Survived by husband two children and two grandchildren. she was last of eight children.

Carrie Balsbaugh to undergo Mayo operation in Rochester
Last Tuesday Miss Carrie Balsbaugh of Hoovers was taken to Rochester Minnesota for a goitre operation. The Mayo Brothers will perform the surgery after ligating arteries to the thyroid. A letter from Thursday said she tolerated the journey well except in Chicago for care between trains. The first step brought relief and a second stage will remove the thyroid glands. Her father George Balsbaugh is brother to William Balsbaught of the south.

The Baptist Ladies hosted a Wednesday afternoon reception at Mr and Mrs Charles Bell home on Washington Street. The event honored old soldiers ministers and wives from several churches and local societies. A program featuring music songs a flag drill dialogues and more impressed around 100 guests.
