Auto Upset After Dog Causes Wreck North of Chili

Pleasant Outing for Methodist Aid Society Members
Husbands and sweethearts surprised members of the Ladies Aid Society with an eight oclock ride from the church to West Side Hotel at Lake Manitou. Fifteen cars carried seventy people through rain to a four course fish dinner and a day of games, with minor car troubles but hearty praise for the pleasant excursion.

Nine year old girl shot by playmate at home
Ruth Ream, nine, was seriously wounded when a .22 rifle misfired by Ralph Murphy, also nine, while playing at the Murphy home near Wensaw. The bullet grazed her shoulder and entered the cheek, lodging at the brain base. She faced possible deafness but was improving. the gun was loaded unknowingly. Both families grieved over the accident.

Walker Makes 6 Mile Walk to Church Dedication
At age seventy seven Uncle Tommy Skinner walked six miles from Twelve Mile to Denver in one hour forty minutes to attend the dedication of the Ora Christian Church in Pulaski County. He visited his daughter and then took trains to Ro cher and on to the event held Sunday at eleven oclock led by Rev Charley McCoy and assisted by Rev William Heflin.

Woman Injured After Fall From Porch Near Denver
Mrs. S. D. Raber suffered severe injuries Friday evening when she fell from her back porch at her Denver area home. She broke her left arm just below the elbow and one ankle bone, keeping her bedridden for weeks. She cannot explain the fall but believes her ankle may have twisted as she stepped off the porch.
