Mrs Berkheiser Dies After Long Illness at 70 plus

Mrs Mary Berkheiser aged over seventy died Friday morning at 4 45 after a year of declining health. She was widow of Franklin S Berkheiser and had lived in Miami county with her children Merritt Ott Murphy and others. Funeral at Enterprise Church Sunday 2 pm with burial in Enterprise cemetery.

Birth of a daughter to Mr and Mrs Earl Sellers

Word has been received by Mr and Mrs W W Sellers living south of town of the birth of a dainty little daughter born to Mr and Mrs Earl Sellers of Dowagiac Michigan last week. Betty is the second child in the home with a brother.

Harry Keplinger Dead After Saw Accident

Harry Keplinger 32 of 568 East Fifth Street died at Dukes Memorial Hospital Wednesday morning from peritonitis after a board kickback struck him in the stomach while operating a saw at Ariel Cabinet Co. Funeral services were held at 579 East Main Street with Rev. G. D. Huff officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery. Survived by a wife and a daughter Louie.

Surprise wedding shocks Denver kin in a family tale

Wm Robbins of Detroit married Miss Cora Myers of Richmond last Thursday. The couple traveled to Peru where Ross McHenry met them and brought them to Denver. The groom's children were unaware of the plans, and the newlyweds intend to visit Reed City Michigan to surprise his son Clinton.

New Indiana Automobile Law Demands Registration Containers

Motor vehicle owners receive blanks from the secretary of state detailing the new title abstract and registration rules. A 50 cent questionnaire proves ownership and a 50 cent aluminum container must hold the registration certificate on the dash. Total fee 1.00 with 90 day fines for noncompliance and a 500 fine with two years for selling a car without proper transfer.

Last Thursday evening Mrs. F. M. Redmon received a delightful surprise from her children for her birthday and her youngest son Frank. The family gathered with baskets and ice cream, except for her daughter, and shared music, singing, and visiting amid numerous presents.

Navy recruits Grimes and Flo leave for service

Grimes Derek departed for Indianapolis to report for duty in the United States Navy. He enlisted ten days ago for four years as a fireman and, due to prior service, holds the rank of third class. Flo Expected to depart for Philadelphia on Tuesday to be assigned to a naval vessel.

Aeroplane Visit by Robert, Son of Albert Donald

Robert Home, son of Albert Donald, arrived by his own aeroplane from south of Denver on Wednesday. He gave sky rides to many friends and neighbors during the day then departed in the evening for Wabash aviation field. He trained as a third man in World War I and has since become a skilled pilot.

Mrs Imhoff Leaves Denver for Wisconsin Visit

Mrs. Charles Imhoff departed Denver this morning for Starke Wisconsin to stay with her sister Mrs Clifford Murphy and family. Mrs Murphy has been ill and recently had an operation but is improving under her sister's care and friends hope she will recover fully.
