On Tuesday a threshing crew led by Oliver Cool produced seventy five shocks and about ninety eight bushels of wheat west of town. The wheat tested at roughly sixty two pounds per bushel. All the hands and Cool vouched for the result, promising to report if heat affected the crop and hinting at a future subscription to the Trismitts.
On Sunday July 24 1808 the Lake Erie and Western railroad will run a cheap excursion from Dover to Indianapolis leaving at 8 17 A M. The trip includes a baggage car and a chance to see the State Capitol and city parks with no license required for wheelmen. For details contact the LE and WR ticket agent.
