Cy Fite said this morning a $350 check was received covering the insurance for D M Snyder and his wife who were burned.

Letter from Leroy Williams dated January 9 1906 aboard the Transport Sheridan in San Francisco details his assignment to the Philippines and possible China duty. He expects to be at sea for the remainder of his enlistment with a May or June return, plans to write from Japan Honolulu Manila and other ports, and asks his mother not to expect him back in Indiana until he is seen coming.
