BW Ward is seriously ill this week and Miss Anna Gustin also sick. James Reeder of Peru visits Earl McCoy. Samuel Witter of Mexico was in Denver yesterday. Lewis Gustin recovered from illness last week. The M E Ladies' Aid Society met with Mrs. Eri Gustin Tuesday. Miss Virginia Redman hosted by Miss Audna Derek Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. H J Meredith visited Culver relatives New Years Day. Lee Fisher traveled to Indianapolis and Illinois last week. The band played on the street last evening. Audna Derek and Virginia Redman visited Deedsville yesterday. V W Sellers and family spent Sunday at Burkett. Mrs. S M Fisher and Halstead of Peru and Miss Sue Vore of Miami visit Miss Sue Fisher. Wesley Bowen and family from near Gilead with M M Dukes family had Sunday dinner with Acel Dukes. Orpha and Florence Bowen from near Gilead visited their grandparents M M Dukes. Olivia Smith, Virginia Redman, Audna Derek and Vera Newell visited Miss Sue Fisher. Jim Replogle of Deedsville met his son Grant Replogle in Denver Monday for an extended visit. Victor Westhaven of Depauw visits Russel Long this week. they will return to Greencastle Saturday. Rev. J F Lutey and family and Mr. Chester Frick dine with Mr. and Mrs. O P Cover. Mrs. Wesley Andrews returned after weeks with her daughter Mrs. Samuel Witters of Mexico. health about usual. Frank Pearson now resident of Denver subscribed for the Tribune. Deedsville Gun Club New Year Shoot Sanctioned by Fine Weather

The Deedsville Gun Club held its annual New Year shoot with good conditions and solid shooting. Peru's Wagoner and Collins and this area’s Armantorut and Lee won prizes. A notable race matched William Heddison against Charles Waymire with Heddison using an old muzzleloader and Waymire an advanced gun. Heddison won 7 to 3. The event drew a pleasant crowd who enjoyed the day.

Pleasant Christmas gathering near Denver honors Berger birthday

About forty two friends and relatives gathered at Samuel and Mrs Berger's home northwest of Denver on Christmas night. The surprise party for her 38th birthday was improvised when she learned of the plan but enjoyed the evening. Guests arrived with gifts and baskets, shared a meal, and enjoyed socializing and music before departing around eleven.
