Union Revival Services Continue All Week

The Union Meetings report strong turnout with Sunday attendance full and others turned away. Pastor L. A. Myers of the Brethren Church preaches this week on topics including Pilates Wife and The Word of God with singing and praise each evening inviting all to attend.

Car Stolen From Peru Courthouse Lot Recovered Later

Mr and Mrs Earl Murphy parked their Ford touring car beside the Peru courthouse Saturday afternoon. By four oclock they found the machine stolen and notified officers. A search failed until Tuesday when the car was found abandoned in South Peru after fuel ran out and minor damage noted.

New Teachers Appointed After Dismissals at Jefferson Schools

New instructors to replace dismissed Jefferson township staff have not yet arrived. Mr Miller, previously in charge of Manual Training at Denver, moves to Mexico to assume principalship. His successor and the Mexico Domestic Science teacher are expected to arrive this week. Mr Murphy and Miss Cox transfer from Mexico to Denver to finish the term.

Purdue Glee Club to Perform in Peru at Methodist Church

The Purdue Glee Club, a 30 member choir with a six piece jazz band an orchestra a Hawaiian steel quartet and more, comes to Peru’s Methodist Church Friday March 1 at 8 00 pm under Epworth League sponsorship for a rare musical event.

Union Meetings At Brethren Church Attract Attendees

Attendees are urged to join ongoing Brethren Church meetings. Seven young ladies joined the altar on Saturday night and two on Sunday morning. The Booster Band and Harry Richer's circle boost the services with singing. Rev. L. A. Myers preaches this week with services at 7:30 p m weekdays, and Sunday at 10:45 a m and 7:00 p m.

Hayes couple leaves for Camp Vancouver Washington

Mr and Mrs George Hayes with Aly Long depart Denver for Camp Vancouver Washington where Hayes has been assigned to the forestry division of the federal service. If housing cannot be arranged Mrs Hayes may stay with her Portland aunt six miles from the camp. Mr Long will return home after the children settle in.

Mrs Wilbur Personette Undergoes Appen dectomy At Indianapolis Hospital

Mrs Wilbur Personette, long in poor health, was taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis last week. She underwent appendicitis surgery and other complications. reports say she is improving and progressing well. Mr Personette stayed with her until Sunday evening.

Sunday School and Sermon at EASAW SERVICES
