George Merley travelled through the Burg returning to Peoria. Rev F C Moon to preach at Baptist church next Sunday. M E church social planned in Rannell's Hall Saturday night inviting all. Marion Raber is sick.
Twelve Mile hosted visitors including Harry Walling of Winds visiting his uncle John Richard son and friends this week. Socials mention Bertha Moss entertaining Johnny Fahl and Bertha Maus, plus Mary and Clary Bogk with Miss Jes pie Skinner.
The M K E church social at Ranwell's Hall in Perrysburg on Saturday night February 26 1898 aims to raise funds for church needs. Refreshments will be served and all are invited to attend.

Mrs. S C Bigsley of Chili died last Saturday morning after a four week illness. An active church worker and beloved by many she will be missed. Funeral services were held at the M E church in Chili Monday at two conducted by Rev J M Baker. Interment in Chili cemetery. Born March 30 1848 she was 49 years 10 months and 19 days. Survived by husband Samuel and three children two with the father. Converted in Chili M K church in 1846. Her Christian influence and legacy were marked by prayer and faith in the home and church community.
Resolutions from Hart or Dexven Lodge 537 mourn the wife of brother S O Bigsey, noting the heavenly call and offering sincere sympathy to him and his children. They order a copy placed with lodge records, a copy to the family, and publication in the Denver Times.

The 4th Quarterly Conference of the Denver M E Church met with preaching by Rev Lewes Presiding Elder and a Saturday session with business votes including a unanimous decision on Bro J M Baker’s return. Prof John Shilling spoke, Epworth League services drew crowds, and three members joined the church. A merry-go-round wreck near Hoovers caused nine passengers and crew to escape injury as a coach overturned. passengers walked to Logansport while a wreck crew cleared rails.
The Irwin County mill of Blystone Frink sawed what may be one of the largest poplar logs. Mr C L Biystone, renowned as a top local sawyer, handled a log over five feet in diameter. The process required multi passes to obtain a perfect iinch measure board sixteen feet long, nearly a quarter inch thick, with a thin slice removed on one side. A Fitzgerald paper notes the feat and reader familiarity with Mr Taine, a former sawyer.
