Arrangements for the annual Jefferson Township Farmers Institute are complete for the event at the Mexico Methodist Church on Saturday February 19. Officers are Irvin Fisher president Charles BalsSpiugh vice president and Harry Miller secretary. Speakers Mrs Eva Rohboek and Prof Widney of Purdue University will discuss alfalfa on every farm with a stereopticon lecture by E B Wetherow. Miss Charlotte Straszer will speak on health. Dinner will be served by the Mexico M E Ladies Aid.

Mrs Anna Martin, sick for days, first with la grippe then kidney trouble, is very seriously ill at her home on West Harrison Street. Her sister Mrs Charles Piper of Indianapolis and Dr Newell are attending, with relatives hopeful for a recovery.

Edward Ernest Walser, son of Charles E and Alice Walser, born July 12 1891, died January 21 1916 at his father’s home near Perrysburg at age 24 years 6 months 9 days. He joined Perrysburg Baptist Church in February 1915 and was faithful in attendance. He was retiring and mourned by his mother sister brothers and a host of friends, now gone to be with the departed.

Chili Union Revival Opens With Strong Attendance
Revival meetings in Chili began Monday night with good turnout. Rev. Banks delivered a fine sermon as a large chorus grows and an orchestra from local talent aids the music. Rev. Jacobs leads the chorus as Sunbeam Choir prepares special numbers for upcoming nights. Friday is Chili School night with surrounding communities expected to send delegations. Denver plans to attend in a later week. Meeting time moved from 7 30 to 7 00 to fit car line riders. All are welcome.

Baptist Ladies Missionary Society Meeting Report
The Baptist Ladies Missionary Society held a February 3 gathering at Mrs. Cornelius Bell's home with eleven members present.
