Pleasant Surprise for Mrs Derek on Birthday

Mr and Mrs A M Brown planned a pleasant surprise at their home on Tuesday evening November 28 for Mrs Cr Derek whose birthday fell on that date. Attendees included Grimes Derek Glen Brown G A Davis Oscar Brown and James Brown and Margaret Grimes. The evening featured a birthday cake with candles and a big dinner followed by social time.

Denver Baptist W W G meets at Mrs. Tharp home

The Denver Baptist W. W. G. met at Mrs. Perry Tharp’s home Tuesday evening with five members present besides Mrs. Edgar Lewis and Mrs. Cunningham, plus several absent due to illness. A missionary program was shared and letters from Miss Fewell and Miss Hiatt about Nebraska Indian work were read, then members crafted scrapbooks for a Christmas box to Miss Fawell.

Hit by Road Hog Near Denver injures Miller couple

Mr and Mrs C E Miller were struck by a passing car one mile north of Denver near the Armantrout farm while returning from Peru. Mrs Miller was cut and bruised by glass as their Ford suffered about 50 dollars in damage and a broken front axle after the crash. The other car fled the scene.

Lalie Catherine Snyder of Mexico dies Monday after a two week illness due to diphtheria. Born March 20 1911 she was eleven.
