Evansville mourns Dr. William G. Ralston ninety five once the city’s oldest physician and kin of Governor Samuel M. Ralston. Born Princeton Indiana he served as Civil War surgeon for the Eighty first Indiana and later on the pension examining board. He was a US surgeon at the marine hospital and a long time member of the Odd Fellows and Cumberland Presbyterian church. His body was taken to Boonville for burial.
