Obstruction Case Over Old Union Township Road

In Fagans Court Nathaniel English faced charges for blocking a public highway after a new road substituted the old route. Limb Amputation of Denver Boy After Illness

Clarence Murphy twelve year old son of Joseph Murphy near Denver underwent left knee amputation last Saturday by Dr Spooner of Peru and Dr Piper of this place. A portion of bone was removed from the right limb as well due to disease. The operation was dictated by a months long illness thought to be cold contracted while wet before recovering from measles. He bore the procedure well and may live. without it no chance remained.

Walter Piper and family, plus H J Merediths, drive to Peru. Mrs Captalin Arnest and Dosi Rankin visit Peru. Mrs Grant Moon and children travel to Churubusco. Willard Howes accepts position with Art Stove Co in Detroit Mid. starting August 15.

Seven Teen Daughter Seeks Death by Rifle Shot

Miss Zella Fisher a seven een year old girl from Richland township attempted suicide with a 22 rifle Friday evening. The bullet struck her forehead and lodged against the skull bone. Doctors say she will recover despite her silence on the motive. Her parents are prominent Dunkard church members and the mother is seriously ill.

Messrs Sylvester and Pearson of Flora Indiana arrived here last week and started a mill with an expert mil ler. The project will aid farming and create a home consumption market benefiting the community. Encourage the venture and patronize the home industry, proving Denver supports newcomers.
