An Ethical remedy praised as a wholesome family laxative by physicians and the Well-Informed of the World. The genuine product is Syrup of Figs and Elixir of Senna, manufactured by the California Fig Syrup Co. and sold by leading druggists.
The dry and anti saloon forces claimed victory as 1 259 dramshops were voted out across Illinois and 25 counties joined the anti saloon bloc. Returns showed 585 cities in anti saloon territory and 202 in mixed status with a net majority against saloons around 87848. Regions like Boone and Winnebago joined the anti saloon ranks as the bitter contest extended from the Indiana line to the Mississippi River.
In Wisconsin incomplete returns show David Rose elected mayor of Milwaukee by 3500 votes. Delegates at large favor La Pollette. Junior senator leading in district delegates. Nine towns vote no license and twenty three towns vote license. John Barnes elected to the supreme bench.
Mrs Hebert Sheldon of Woodville Connecticut reports a year and a half of facial and body sores in her infant son cured after using Cuticura Soap Ointment. She credits one cake of Soap and three boxes of Ointment for restoring health.
