Mr and Mrs Joseph Smith entertained on Harrison street Friday evening in honor of daughter Ohma Smiths birthday. A large group of young people joined the surprise and Ohma hosted with music by Miss Goldie Fouts. A two course lunch followed along with flowers pictures toilet articles and bonbons as gifts.
HJ Meredith and his wife were hosted for supper by Rev. and Mrs. J F Lutey last Wednesday evening.

At the K O T M Hall on Friday evening April 3 Dr M J Harrington will give his celebrated Tlustrated Lecture Ben Hur. Proceeds for School Library. Admission 10c and 15c.
Rural Route No 23 Will Ream made a business trip to Peru Friday. George Lee visited Rufus Fisher and family Sunday. Miss Mary Smith called on Sarah and Alvena Matthias Friday. Charles Gurwell and family visited in Denver Sunday. Miss Fanny Berger visited her cousin Francis Morris in Peru over Sunday. Elva and Vernice Yoder of Perrysburg visited their cousin Bessie Stanton last Friday. Mrs. Lewis Fisher called on Mrs. Sarah Berger Sunday. Mrs. Marv Fisher and daughter of Mexico visited Irvin Miller and family Sunday. Mrs. Marv Berger spent Sunday with Frank Dewald and family. Misses Rose Dillman and Lola Unger of Wabash spent Sunday with Will Ream and family. Claude Sullivan and wife went to Indianapolis Thursday on business. Mrs. Jim Dice spent Friday with Sarah Berger. Henry Deibert of Mud Lake visited Frank Matthias Thursday night. Aaron Berger moved his family and household goods to Rochester last week. Jacob Matthias left Friday for Huntington to do some painting.
Burton Green attended the State Democratic Convention in Indianapolis last week. The ME church youth held a well attended box supper Saturday night. Brubaker Kreider & Gary is our tile brick and lumber company. S. W. Losher, longtime resident, died Sunday. funeral was Wednesday at the Methodist church. Mrs. Losher mourns the loss of her daughter Anna Austin three weeks ago.
Michael N Tayior born February 7 1814 in Wayne County Ohio died March 27 1908 in Denver aged 94 years 1 month and 20 days He was among Wayne County’s first settlers later farmed in Wayne and Wabash counties before moving to Richland Township Miami County then Denver He married Nancy Brown in 1835 producing five children two daughters and three sons surviving him along with a sister and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren He joined the Methodist Episcopal Church about sixty years ago and received support from his granddaughter Alma Norris in his later years
The service Sunday at ten in the ME church remembered a local resident with many relatives present. Rev J F Lutey led the ceremony. burial followed in Chili cemetery. Active pallbearers were OP Cover, RF Butt, MM Dukes, Isaac Armfield, Joseph Smith, Henry Lewis. honorary pallbearers included JQ Howes, Timothy Murden, Isaac Fisher, William Cunningham, Charles Long, J E Milliron.
On Saturday Mrs S A Cool of Los Angeles California sent a bouquet of preserved orange blossoms lemon blossoms and red and white roses which the recipient prizes highly. The thanks are extended for her kindness and appreciation.

Morning worship at 10:30 follows Sunday School at 9:30 with reception of new members. Junior Union meets at 2:30, B Y P U at 6:30, and a music program at 7:30 precedes the sermon at 8:40 titled The Last Farewell.
