Former associate of C C Waskey in furniture and carpet business for 15 years announces independent shop offering a full line of furniture carpets rugs oil cloths and matting at low prices. Invites Caroline friends to visit and compare.
The advertisement proclaims new fall goods arriving daily and promises the largest assortment ever shown in the county. It targets ladies with a wide selection across all departments, emphasizing abundance and completion of stock.
A narrator recounts Edgar Shenstone, a quiet Wall Street pirate, and Sidney Colbert, a struggling writer. Sidney's likeness to Shenstone spurs a scheme to use his image to run a vast pool, with Shenstone secretly safeguarded as the real target while Sidney poses as him to service the operation. After a web of deception, a public death, a hidden romance, and a dramatic exposure, Shenstone’s enemies are thwarted and Sidney gains a pension as the ruse collapses into a costly truth.

Mortgage later assigned to Elizabeth Beauchamp February 4 1904 then to Harvey L Cooper August 16 1907. Sale will be held in front of the Court House door in Denton Maryland.
In 1907 during two to four o'clock in the afternoon, all pieces or lots of land in the Eighth Election District of Carroll County Maryland are described. The property is described as Lot No. 1 on the west side of a branch, adjoining the W. F. Ross land and Thomas Hubbard et al., with the parcel size to follow.
Being the same land conveyed to W F Ross by Thomas R Green late sheriff of Caroline county. Describes boundaries starting at a stone and running in degrees and perches to conveyance records Liber E C F No 63 John 574 and Liber T H & No 34 folio 461.
