Greensboro High School Soccer Seeks Strong Fall Start
Soccer practice at Greensboro High School opened on September 9 with 30 players. Eight lettermen return from a 3 5 season, including Ward Caine Porter Walls Dobson Nagain Dyer and Smith. The schedule features two practice games against Sudlersville before county play, and the season opens September 18 with Sudlersville on the Greensboro field.

Martin Wayne Powers To Second Georgetown Speedway Win
Johnny Martin of Lewes Delaware drove his Wayne powered Chevrolet No 191 to a narrow 25 lap feature victory at Georgetown Speedway on the 15 mile dirt. Leadfoot Lou Johnson faced a flat tire on car 40 while Buck McCardell was sidelined. Ken Marriott challenged for second as the field battled tire trouble and spins. The race included 8 lead changes and a costly tire for Johnson, with Martin pulling away after lap 24 to clinch the win.
