Notice of County Tax Levy and Collections 1898

By direction of an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland the County Commissioners of Caroline county announce the annual levy on taxable property. Taxes for county and State purposes are due September 1 to the treasurer. The treasurer will sit in the principal town of each election district on specified dates to receive State and county taxes for 1898.

Officials appoint election officers in Second District

At the meeting of the Supervisors on Tuesday, September bth, inst., James E. Curry of Greensboro was appointed officer of registration and judge of election for the Second District, replacing Joseph S. Cooper who resigned. W. T. Downes became judge of election in the same district, replacing James P. Hopkins who resigned. In the Sixth District Nathaniel L. Tribbett was appointed clerk of election, replacing P. J.
