Federal duck blind rules eased by War Dept permit plan
The War Department revised a 1929 regulation, allowing Maryland duck blinds without a federal permit in areas where state law bars erections within 300 yards of shore. In zones with tighter state limits, licensees must apply for a federal permit, with guidance to file a rough shore sketch. The rule ensures removal or lighted display for night navigation.
