Denton Church merges after 1960s unity drive

Grace and First Methodist in Denton united to form St. Luke's Methodist Church in 1961 after a series of meetings and votes. The planned merger followed long talks, a near unanimous member stance, and a shared aim for a single church to serve the Denton Methodist community.
