Court Has Busy Week To Nearly Finish Docket
The October term of the Circuit Court for Caroline County convened with Judge Adkins and Judge Keating presiding. Grand and petit juries were drawn. one grand juror became the first Afro American to serve in Caroline. Bailiff Peter T. Clark, age 91, remained on the bench as the court’s colorful figure. Civil cases included Dr Robby Hacketts suit for 35 dollars for telephone medical calls and related rulings. another appeal Carter vs Strannahan favored Strannahan. The grand jury reported 11 true bills after 55 witnesses were examined, and county farm inmates were found to need painting and some repairs.

Caroline County Dog Show Held in Denton Friday
The Caroline County Dog Show Association announces its Third Annual Dog Show in Denton on Friday October 28 from 2 30 to 10 p m with an exhibition by Champion English Setters including Ch Blue Dan of Happy Valley born on Maryland s Eastern Shore. A renowned Lady Judge will preside part of the show and local dogs may compete for prizes later. Sponsored by the American Kennel Club Association of America.
