Demand for Farm Products May Be Stronger Next Year
A Maryland extension official projects overall stronger farm product demand in 1940 than 1939 due to higher domestic incomes and some export growth tied to the war. He warns against large acreage expansion, notes production outpacing consumption, and forecasts modest price rises for production inputs with limited change in feed costs for the remainder of the 1939-40 season.
