Two Die In Accident As Airplane Falls Near Dover
John A. Montgomery Jr. 33 a Wilmington insurance broker and James Leslie McAllister 27 a pilot for Air Service Inc. were killed when their airplane crashed one mile south of Dover. Witnesses said the craft nosedived and exploded in flames as it struck a field used as a landing area. Both men died at the scene and were found burned beyond recognition. The crash prompted investigations by Air Service officials and a Department of Commerce agent who cited a possible side slip and excessive speed during landing attempts.
