Geo A Deakyne urges Caroline County voters to elect him Clerk of the Circuit Court on November 8 citing potential savings from eliminating a Chief Deputy. He argues the office can run with three staffers and that fees fund pay, not the county, claiming $9000 yearly savings and stressing service over patronage.

Each boat, about 100 tons, has shallow drafts comparable to wooden vessels of the same size and resists rot and rust. The Italian navy adopts the method for certain uses, and canal barges plus docks and cassions increasingly employ concrete.
