Special Session Looms As Long Fight Over Rum
Maryland legislators are called to Annapolis for a special session likely to run the full thirty days. Big Armistice Day Celebration At Cambridge
Plans for the fifth Armistice Day celebration in Cambridge promise the largest event of its kind in the United States. The day will feature a memorial service at 11 a.m., a 10 mile marathon with top runners from Baltimore and local teams, automobile races at the fair grounds, and a 3 p.m. mammoth parade with patriotic floats, Legion posts, scouts, sailors, bands, and more. Six hundred Shriners are expected from Baltimore, chartering the Steel Pier steamer for the trip. After the parade, free eats will be offered to participating organizations, followed by the Armistice Day Dance at 9 p.m. at the Cambridge Armory, with President Roosevelt invited.
