Caroline County Business and Professional Women's Club hosted its 11th annual banquet on October 24 1951 at the Community Club House Denton. Miss Beatrice Williams welcomed members and guests. Mrs Edythe Fleetwood and Mrs Mabel Bennington sang two songs. Rev Walworth Tyng spoke on United States China policy, warning that support for Chiang Kai shek and anti communist stance have eroded Open Door gains and urged voters to seek facts before deciding. He contrasted McKinley Roosevelt era policy with current foreign policy and urged Americans to consider China with the scale and barriers that shape it. Members left with a warmer view of foreign affairs and the power of informed voting.

The 173rd anniversary service of Bridge Town Church is set for Sunday afternoon November 4 at 3 00 PM with Rev James Hughes of Queens Town delivering the message. Withholding Taxes Increase Announced by Baltimore Collector
George Hofferbert, Collector of Internal Revenue in Baltimore, announced that employers must withhold income tax from wages at the higher rates effective November 1, 1951, under the Revenue Act of 1951. Air Force Seeks Aircraft Observers for New Training Program
The Air Force announces a program to train young men into commissioned officers as Aircraft Observers. The 27 week basic phase leads to a 52 week finish, with graduates earning Aircraft Observer Wings and serving as crew on bombardment, transport, reconnaissance or interceptor aircraft. Eligibility includes age 20 to 26, two years of college, exams, single status, and good health. Roles include navigation, bombardment, electronic countermeasures, performance engineering, bomber defense, and photographic reconnaissance.
