Maryland's Attractions Boost Del-Mar-Va Growth
The Bel Air Democrat reports rapid progress on the Susquehanna dam project at Shure's Landing with forty buildings up near Darlington and a near completion single-track railroad along the towpath to Havre de Grace. Meantime Del-Mar-Va boosters tout the Eastern Shore as a future bread basket and luxury retreat, citing Captain John Smith, auto highways, and the region’s Anglo-Saxon heritage as selling points.
