About 150 attendees celebrated the Cub Scout Blue and Gold Dinner February 23 in the Fellowship Hall of First Methodist Church. Scouting virtues were highlighted by talks from Dr. John French and Percy Scudder, with awards and den cheers led by Assistant Cub Master Tom Robbins. The group announced a March 28 Dover Airport tour as the pack meeting.

Girl Scout Cookie Sale Starts March 9 in Council Area
The Girl Scouts of our Council area begin their Annual Cookie Fund Sale on March 9 at 4 p.m. involving about 150 troops and 3,000 girls from 9 districts across the Delaware-Maryland Peninsula. Proceeds fund Camp Todd near Denton and four Day Camps. 47 percent goes to the Council, 4 cents per box to each troop. The top seller will be named Miss 1956 Cookie Queen at the Dover rally May 12, with eight district court winners and an Achievement Award for the top troop.

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Caro line County Firemen's Association met at Goldsboro Community Hall on Friday evening February 17. President Mrs Josephine Paxson led the opening with the Lord's Prayer and a flag salute. Minutes were read, fund raising efforts shared, and entertainment included piano selections. A joint memorial service for deceased members will be held March 4 at 7 30 pm at Christ Methodist Church Federalsburg. Forty nine members attended and refreshments followed. Next meeting is in Marydel Maryland.
