Wigglesby Falls For Plump Widow Across the Way

Hezekiah Wigglesby, a forty year old bachelor, starts to rethink his life after sighting Mrs. Wiltsey, a plump widow moving in with her sister to raise chickens. A humorous sequence follows as Wigglesby lends tools, helps with a hen, faces awkward encounters, and gradually courts Wiltsey, aided by marriage-minded sister Kate Wiltsey. The tale closes with Wigglesby planning to propose while Wiltsey encourages his progress as their chicks hatch.
