In Memoriam for Thomas P Towers
In loving remembrance of my dear husband Thomas P Towers who departed this life four years ago May 40 1919. His affliction was great and he suffered such pain. I know that my loss is my dear husband s gain and it would be selfish to want him to stay in such pain. When I know it is my privilege to meet him again. By His Wife.

Fate of the MD, DE and VA Railway prospects brighten
The Maryland Delaware and Virginia Railway fate shows renewed hope after a two hour Public Service Commission meeting with N W Smith of the Pennsylvania Railroad. Plans discussed include using the MD, DE and VA line Love Point to Venton to connect with Oxford branch to Clayton Del and Hillsboro, linking to Easton and Salisbury Ocean City. A second plan avoids abandoning the Claiborne Easton line for freight, with passenger service largely replaced by buses. A sale to E B Leaf Co. remains possible, with no service discontinuance until a plan is settled, and a meeting before June 5 to review details. If kept, West Denton may be the line terminus unless Denton residents back the Choptank bridge.
