Economy in Home Heating Practices Warned for Winter
W C Lowndes of the International Correspondence Schools says Atlantic coast homes will face a difficult winter to heat even with ample fuel oil and coal. Homeowners should review last year's fuel use, tighten schedules, seal doors and windows, and keep some heat in all night to avoid higher fuel needs. Bedrooms may use less heat, especially where no small children reside, and industries study cooling systems to aid fuel conservation.
