Rev G W Haddaway preacher of Starr Methodist Protestant Church in Baltimore preached a sermon on godliness as profitable in time and eternity. He argued religion benefits financially socially politically physically spiritually, urging pursuit of godliness over worldly riches. Other items note Tippecanoe Battlefield speech by Henry Watterson, cantaloupes in Wicomico county, Rehoboth boardwalk dress rule, and local agricultural notes.
Like other Atlantic coast resorts Rehoboth suffered from June coolness and did not open in earnest until just before the Fourth. Few hotel guests, but cottagers occupied summer homes. July trains brought many arrivals and hotel registers show rising optimism for a good season if weather remains favorable. Maryland leads in canning ahead of Virginia in state business.

Her daughter Mrs. Garrison hosts relatives and friends honoring a 95 year life spanning Civil War era and 23 presidential terms. Mrs Hubbard, raised in Caroline county, recalls long ago events with clear memory and vitality.

Highlights include Niagara Falls Thousand Islands St. Lawrence rapids Quebec Saguenay Montreal Au Sable Chasm Lakes Champlain and George and Saratoga. Cost is 125 round trip with meals parlor car seats hotel entertainment and transfers. Tours led by tourist agents with a chaperone for escorted ladies. Tickets available at multiple city offices or from Gen W Boyd. Also mentions local ads for Eastern College and Ralph's Hotel at Rehoboth with cuisine noted.
