Three Men Hurt While Robbing Honey Bees
Three men and a boy were injured while attempting to steal a beehive from a tree in the woods near their home. Howard Johnson and two of his sons were pinned under the tree as it fell, with Johnson severely hurt and later treated. a neighbor, Walter Patton, suffered a leg injury and head injury, requiring amputation above the elbow. Help arrived only after dawn, and the party fled the scene before assistance could arrive.
