Poultry Feeding and Vitamin Needs Highlight Denton Conference
Dr. Caskey of Southern States Research told Denton employees that feed concentrations are ample to meet livestock needs this year and can be transported where needed with better weather and transport. He advised 20 percent protein for chicks first six weeks, then 15 percent by 12 weeks, and emphasized vitamins A D and riboflavin for growth, bone formation, hatchability, and preventing disease. The meeting included prize winners in a quiz and a list of local House and Senate bills with various readings and votes from February.
