Jenny Lind Triumphs Over Grisi in Court Concert
In London, Jenny Lind faced Grisi as rivals for public favor at a queen's court concert. Lind, disturbed by Grisi's scorn, launched into a heartfelt performance of A Little Prayer, moving the audience to admiration and drawing a tear from Grisi who kissed Lind in a dramatic moment. The scene epitomized 1848 theater bravado amid general unrest.
