At the Peoples Bank of Denton Maryland fiftieth annual meeting Harry H Nuttle president reports the bank has grown to over 2 500 000 in assets and four thousand customers in Caroline County. He notes a twelve percent dividend paid on capital stock and additions to the capital account along with substantial earnings and tax payments. After a brief talk by Dr. N S Dudley of Church Hill, Dr L Paul Knotts introduced the speaker Dr John A Deerinp, Delaware Mental Hygiene Clinical Director, who discussed Narco Therapy and Electric Shock and the use of Glutamic Acid in psychiatry. After dinner, Caroline County Society elected officers for the coming year with Dr F M Anderson Federalsburg as president and Dr D O George Denton as vice president.

The signs, black on gold, were placed by the State Roads Commission as Market street is part of the state road system. Smith Named Clerk to Caroline County Supervisors
Marvin H. Smith of the Caroline County Bar was appointed clerk to the Supervisors of Elections for Caroline County at a Court House meeting last Thursday. He succeeds the late J. Ed. Nichols. Smith previously ran as the Republican candidate for State's Attorney in the 1946 General Election and was defeated by James A. Wise. The Board of Supervisors has a Democratic majority.
