PAL Head Dies In Baltimore Hospital
Dr. William Burdick, director of the Playground Athletic League, died last Saturday in Union Memorial Hospital Baltimore at age 65. Funeral services were held Monday at his home conducted by Rev. Mark Depp, with burial at London Park Cemetery. He led the league from seven to over 200 playgrounds citywide and served on national education and medical associations. Survived by wife Marguarite and three daughters. He previously worked with the YMCA and held Brown University degrees.
