Santa helps locate the mother, brings doctors, and returns with a final, hopeful greeting as the mother regains strength.

She asks Santa for a big doll, galoshes, blackboard, bedroom slippers, twin sweater, skirt, handkerchiefs, stockings, slippers, a girl appropriate game, candy, nuts, and oranges. She also asks Santa to remember Mother, Dad, and her two brothers and sisters.
A 1938 letter from Francis Martin Noble in Denton Maryland requests gifts for a three year old boy and sister Margret Ann, plus Mother, Daddy, brother Freddie Wooters, and grandparents. The list includes shoes, galoshes, sweater, truck, wagon, bicycle, candy, nuts, oranges, apples, a doll and dress for Joan, and a high top shoe for the child.
An old Cure advertises Creomulsion as a pleasant emulsified creosote remedy to soothe infected mucous membranes and loosen germ laden phlegm. It cites Beechwood Creosote as a long noted cough and bronchial irritations treatment and notes a chemist blended Creosote with other ingredients.
