Heirs Not to Wait for Estate in Dover Ruling

In an adjourned Supreme Court session in Dover Chancellor Curtis and Judges Conrad and Heisel handed down an opinion on the will of Emory Scotten. The estate, valued at 75 000 to 90 000 dollars, largely real estate, was left to widow Ella Scotten for life with remainder to seven children. The widow waived her dower in Orphans Court, and the court ruled that her renunciation is equivalent to death for purposes of determining who is entitled in remainder, so heirs do not need to wait for her death.
