Conversion and Sanctification Examined in Lecture
Rev Dr Davies of Easton explained conversion as a crisis followed by immediate perceived aid from God. He cited early training and knowledge of God, prayer, and Bible study, with psychology noting subconscious incubation but asserting sanctification as the final alignment of personality with the divine life. Backsliding is common but only about six percent lose faith. ninety four percent stay true, while sanctification develops the moral image of God in man.

The piece cites Hicks predicting a violent storm from the 16th to the 21st extending to sea, with a full moon on the 23rd and perigee on the 25th. Heating Plant Too Small at Caroline High School
A Caroline County patrons meeting at Caroline High School condemned the 1910 heating plant as 40 percent deficient in capacity and too small for the added basement space. Temperatures in several rooms during winter 1911 1912 averaged around 59 degrees, sparking calls for action. Dr Downes visited, reported to the State Board of Health, and the janitor was ordered to accelerate repairs to achieve adequate heat. Local patron S G Nuttle suggested the issue lay in space added beneath the building rather than a faulty plant.
