Cohee's Store at the Caroline County Deer Checking Station reports 31 deer killed since opening day December 1 reaching Wednesday morning. The list includes hunters and weights such as Leo Wood 163 lbs 8 pts Marion Butler Farm Wilton Pratt 158 lbs 4 pts James Eveland Farm Wayne Shaffer 172 lbs 11 pts among others across towns like Greensboro Bridgetown Road Tuckahoe Neck and Templeville with weights ranging from 112 to 224 lbs and points from 3 to 11.

Denton School Menu For Next Week In Two Buildings

The Denton district lists weekly meals: in Main Building Monday to Friday feature I and II platters with soups, meats, breads, vegetables, desserts, and milk. A la Carte desserts and salads. Primary Building offers daily lunches including hamburgers, chicken pie, soups, and casseroles with milk and fruit. Tuckahoe State Park Survey Underway in Maryland

Senator Harry R Hughes announced that Van Reuth and Weidner Inc of Baltimore have begun the survey for Tuckahoe State Park. He cited 150000 dollars already available since July 1 1962 and a request for 200000 more in the January budget, noting the project carries a 2000000 dollar value and benefits to Caroline County. Civil Defense Director John S Legates said the county must inventory all food supplies and asks processors wholesalers and retailers to cooperate.

Local Vets Get National Office Appointments

Three Eastern Shore members of the Veterans of World War One through Maryland commander Roy V. R. Grogan have be chosen for national office. Lewis T. Mcneal is National Deputy Chief of Staff Robert Mueller of Denton is National Deputy Inspector and Henry Dembinsky of Cambridge is National Deputy Inspector. Terms run for one year. Sunday December 9 the Denton Bar racks hosts a Christmas party for a busload of veterans from Perry Point VA Hospital at their hall in Greensboro.

Maryland Wool Incentive Price Set for 1963 Year

The U S Department of Agriculture set a 62 cent per pound incentive price for wool for 1963, from April 1 to December 31, with a switch to a calendar year marketing year. Payments will follow 1962 methods, based on a percentage raising national averages to the incentive level, distributed in spring 1964 for wool and lamb sales in that period.

The Eastern Shore Chiropractic Association of Maryland will hold its end of year business and social meeting in Denton. It will meet at the home and office of Dr. Gordon A. Wheat on December 5 at 5 p.m. A social dinner will follow before the business session concludes.
