The Caroline County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America was organized at a dinner in Denton on Thursday evening November 29. About thirty guests attended. Temporary chair Talmage A. R. Strong presided. National Vice-President Royal H. Carlock and Eastern Representative John F. Stowell spoke on the league’s benefits and conservation role. Joe Fitzwater discussed the league’s history. A film on Lower Sourhs National Wildlife Refuge played, showing wildlife including game birds. Strong named president, A W Spiering vice president, A J Fletcher secretary. Twenty six members joined. new members within sixty days become Charter Members.
