Tuberculosis testing in Caroline cattle herds shows few infections

Thirteen herds totaling 156 cattle were tested by the State veterinarian last week in Caroline County. Only four animals were found diseased. If state goals pass, the three year cleanup would protect public health, since milkborne tuberculosis affects over half of human cases.
