Improved Road Efforts Fail to Interest Officials
Turnbull Murdoch and railroad presidents sought Governor Ritchie and State Roads Chairman Mackall to back a hard surface Love Point to Queenstown boulevard aimed at enabling a fast ferry to Baltimore. The Shore Boulevard Bill had progressed but was vetoed, with officials stating future construction would proceed in small sections rather than immediate action. The plan originally spanned Denton to Love Point, but a direct Queens Town to Love Point link could advance the ferry project as roads improve. Meanwhile four Caroline County boys and chaperone attended Boys and Girls Club Week at College Park, reporting daily exercises and demonstrations.
