Sunday School Lesson on Josiah and the Passover
A devotional note on 2 Chronicles 34 14 33 and the found Book of the Law. It discusses Josiah reading the covenant, humbly seeking guidance through Huldah, and the nation’s renewal. The author links Josiah with devotion, each person’s labor, and the Passover symbolism pointing to Christ as the Passover lamb. The piece reflects on humility, divine judgment, and spiritual renewal through obedience.

Farm Labor Bureau Helps Maryland Farmers Hire More Help
The Farm Labor Bureau, under Maryland defense law, coordinates with the Maryland Agricultural Extension Service and U S Department of Agriculture to supply farm labor for heightened production. County Agents in each county, aided by the Farm Labor Bureau in Baltimore, seek to fill labor needs with either temporary or permanent workers, with farmers paying transport costs when labor moves between counties. Farmers are urged to plant heavier crops this fall as patriots and the President request, and to contact their County Agent or editor for guidance on labor needs.

No Hurry War Endings And Odd Notes From Distant Papers
A garbled collage of anecdotes from old magazines. A doctor discusses possible lockjaw after a anxious call. War endings are noted to avoid winter conclusions, with a cheeky aside from Harpers and Argonaut. A playful bit on making a barrel from a skate and a mock political dig at Congressman Flubdub.
