Two local advertisement notices announce William G. Smith and W T Elliott as Democratic candidates for sheriff. Smith cites county roots and inexperience in office. Elliott vows to serve with honor if nominated and elected, appealing to party supporters in Ridgely Maryland.
George W. Kelley announces his candidacy for Sheriff in the upcoming primaries and urges Democratic voters to support him. He pledges loyal party service spanning thirty years and readiness to answer questions for information about his qualifications and aims. Townshend Downes of Greensboro, Md., adds a separate note dated July 19, 1913, about seeking House of Delegates nomination.
A Democratic candidate, Reuben Garey, announces his bid for Register of Wills. He cites twenty years of training and experience and asks Democrats to support him at the September primary. He signs his name with respect.
