Indictment in Ruth Cannon murder case targets Breeding

Caroline County grand jury indicted Clayton Edward Breeding, 26, for first degree murder in the June 28 death of Ruth Ellen Cannon near Burrsville. He was brought to court through judge’s chambers to avoid crowds. arraignment postponed to review psychiatric report. Walter E. Breeding, 51, charged with assault and robbery, sought venue change citing publicity. Breeding from Hickman, Maryland-Delaware line area.

Rotary Club Of Denton To Greet District Governor Krusen Tuesday

The Rotary Club of Denton will host John C. Krusen district governor of Rotary International district 762 for his annual visit to 48 Maryland and DC clubs. Local Farmers Use Farmers Home Loans in 1958

Farm families in Caroline and Talbot Counties received Farmers Home Administration loans totaling $133,630 in the year ended June 30 1958, county supervisor Richard Warfield reports. Borrowers repaid $60,300. repayments were low due to drought, but most loans are long term. Loans cover farm operations including feed seed fertilizer and livestock.
