Giant 75-ton granite memorial vessel to Mary Baker Eddy

A granite block weighing about seventy five tons, quarried at North Concord, was installed on the old Mark Baker farm as a memorial to Mary Baker Eddy, founder of the Christian Science church. The monument, anchored on a Bow place base overlooking the Merrimac valley, rises seven feet nine inches high with a ten by ten foot base, four bronze tablets on each face, and exact orientation. The piece is said to be the largest ever cut and was formerly over 100 tons in the rough.
