Dudley W. Davis Records Eleven Years of Perfect Attendance
Ridgely born student Dudley W. Davis, son of John D. Davis, earned perfect attendance in both elementary and high school across eleven years. He rode a team for three or four days but mostly walked, and never required a physician. After Ridgely, he graduated with honors from St. John’s College and now serves in the U. S. Marine Corps. His father credits steady health to active participation in school sports. The piece argues regular sleep and good habits as lessons for other children.
