Under Maryland law an election for one Denton commissioner to serve three years will be held Monday April 27 1936 from 2 to 6 pm in the Denton Fire Building. Registered town voters with municipal tax paid and two years residency can vote. signatories include Melving James Walter Sparkin and clerk A-11-de-Clerk.

Circuit Court Holds Brief Session Here
The spring term of the Circuit Court for Caroline County opened with Judges Keating and Knotts on the bench. The grand jury, listed foreman Wayne A. Cawley and secretary W. J. Bonner, examined fifteen witnesses, returned six presentments and six true bills, and appointed committees on the County Farm and jail conditions. Observations praised the jail’s sanitary state. repairs and a visitor rest room were suggested. The panel urged vigorous enforcement against slot machines and gaming. Court recessed to meet again next Tuesday without a jury trial.
